Praying and seeking God towards repentance and wellbeing: To be for Him

During the season of Lent, many Church traditions focus on fasting and praying for various needs. While the Church is called to pray, there are things that the scripture points to as true fasting. Prophet Isaiah in Isaiah 58 shares about the call for true fasting for the people of Israel. God summons Isaiah to communicate what He considers as true spirituality and true fasting. It reveals God’s heart about what He considers is important.

Based on Isaiah 58, I would like to take us on a series to pray and seek God’s face for repentance and intersession especially in the context of the 40 days of Lent observed by the Church. Join us in understanding God’s heart to “Be for Him” through our life and ministry, so that God the light of God will dawn through us to the world. He promises in Isaiah 58:11, 12, the Lord will guide you always, he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land, and will strengthen your frame, you will be a well-watered garden, like a spring whose never fail” We can be recipients of His blessings when we do His will in this world. May God bless our journey for the next 40 days as we seek God through this series. Amen
